THE OPERATING ROOM

we are suppose to observe at least two surgeries each week with our assigned doctor

This week after sleeping for only one hour i went there ( to the OR) at 7:30 and the head nurse told me sorry but i cant give you a scrub suite we have an orders from the medical director in the hospital not to give the students, i said no problem i will leave but can you tell my doctor that i was here and you didn’t give me a scrub suite she said no told him yourself

after my doctor decided to come at 8:45 i told him they didn’t give me a scrub suite thinking that he will help me to get one since one of the other groups of students were helped by there doc. he said its ok you can go heome for today

i went home but they could of have tell me one day earlier and observing a surgery is the worst thing you can do, you will be watching for at least a three hours, a fatty doctors cutting someone and laughing at things that are really away from being funny but i cant blame them they have been socially isolated for a very long time. personally i think surgeries like a video game you wont have fun till you do it your self but the problem with surgeries are that you will be playing the same set of games over and over and over till you get fat trying to master them .
